Este Haim (of HAIM) & Chris Stracey have made their feature film scoring debut on the upcoming comedy drama Cha Cha Real Smooth. The film is written and directed by Cooper Raiff (Shithouse) and stars Dakota Johnson, Raiff himself, Vanessa Burghardt, Evan Assante, Brad Garrett and Leslie Mann. The movie revolves around a young man who works as a Bar Mitzvah party host and strikes up a friendship with a mother and her autistic daughter. Raiff & Johnson are also producing the Picturestart production with Ro Donnelly (Am I OK?), Erik Feig (Step Up series, I Know What You Did Last Summer) and Jessica Switch. Haim & Stracey have previously co-scored last year’s Netflix limited series Maid. Cha Cha Real Smooth will premiere this coming weekend at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival.
