Lakeshore and INVADA Records will release a soundtrack album for the French documentary The Velvet Queen (La Panthère des neiges). The album features the film’s original music composed by Nick Cave & Warren Ellis (The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, Hell or High Water, Wind River, The Proposal, The Road, Lawless). The soundtrack will be released digitally on December 17 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon, where you can also check out the track list. A first track (We Are Not Alone) is already being released today and can be checked out after the jump. The Velvet Queen is directed by Marie Amiguet and follows award-winning nature photographer Vincent Munier and writer Sylvain Tesson on a journey across the Tibetan highlands to document the infamously elusive snow leopard. The documentary premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and will be released in French theaters on December 15. Oscilloscope Laboratories has picked up U.S. distribution rights for a domestic theatrical release on December 22, 2021.
