Nainita Desai (For Sama, Enemy Within, Telling Lies, Darkness Visible) is the composer of the upcoming Quibi original series Fierce Queens. The show is narrated by Reese Witherspoon and takes an in depth look at female animals: the rebel matriarchs, powerful leaders and dangerous lovers of the natural world. The docu-series aims to depict the most dramatic natural history stories from a fresh female perspective. Jo Shinner (Earth from Space) is executive producing the BBC Studios Natural History Unit production. Fierce Queens will premiere on the new short form streaming service Quibi, which is set to launch on April 6, 2020.
