Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the World War I drama 1917. The album features the film’s original music composed by Academy Award nominee Thomas Newman (The Shawshank Redemption, American Beauty, Finding Nemo, Skyfall, Wall-E, Road to Perdition). The soundtrack will be released on December 20, 2019 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon. 1917 is directed by Sam Mendes and stars George MacKay, Dean-Charles Champman, Mark Strong, Andrew Scott, Richard Madden, Claire Duburcq, Colin Firth and Benedict Cumberbatch. The movie takes place at the height of the First World War and follows two young British soldiers, Schofield who must cross enemy territory and deliver a message that will stop a deadly attack on hundreds of soldiers.
