Mervyn Warren (The Wedding Planner, Honey, A Walk to Remember, Joyful Noise) has been hired to score the upcoming indie drama Tazmanian Devil. The film is written and directed by Solomon Onita, Jr. and stars Abraham Attah, Adepero Oduye, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine and Kwesi Boakye. The movie centers on a 19-year-old Nigerian immigrant as he struggles to balance his conflicting desires of joining a college fraternity and bonding with his estranged father, a strictly religious pastor at a local church. Tricia Woodgett is producing the project for TigerEye Films. Bryan “Birdman” Williams of Cash Money Films and Benny Boom of Groundwurk Studios serve as executive producers. Tazmanian Devil is currently in post-production. No word yet on a release date.
