Marco Beltrami (Logan, A Quiet Place, 3:10 to Yuma, Scream, Free Solo) has signed on to score the upcoming sci-fi action thriller Gemini Man. The film is directed by Ang Lee (Life of Pi, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Hulk) and stars Will Smith, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Clive Owen and Benedict Wong. The movie follows an elite assassin who is suddenly targeted and pursued by a mysterious young operative that seemingly can predict his every move. Jerry Bruckheimer (Pirates of the Caribbean, Armageddon) is producing the project with Skydance Media’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg & Don Granger (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation, Jack Reacher). Beltrami has previously scored 2013’s World War Z for Skydance. Gemini Man is set to be released in theaters nationwide on October 4, 2019 by Paramount Pictures.
As previously reported, Beltrami also has James Mangold’s Ford v. Ferrari starring Matt Damon & Christian Bale (to be released on November 15) and CBS All Access’ The Twilight Zone reboot coming up. He also scored the comedy Long Shot (with Miles Hankins) (coming out on May 3), the thriller Underwater (with Brandon Roberts), as well as thriller Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile (with Dennis Smith), which premiered last month at the Sundance Film Festival and was picked up by Netflix for a release later this year.
Wow – Marco having a busy year!
