Composer Tim Kvasnosky is reteaming with director Justin Kelly on the upcoming biographical drama JT Leroy. The film is written and directed by Kelly and stars Kristen Stewart, Jim Sturgess, Laura Dern, Diane Kruger, Kelvin Harrison Jr., Courtney Love and James Jagger. The movie tells the true story of a pair of woman who created the persona of a boy-wonder author, fooling the literary community, the fashion world, and the Hollywood elite for six years before the hoax was finally revealed. Cassian Elwes (Lee Daniels’ The Butler, Mudbound, Elvis & Nixon) is producing the project with Mark Amin (The Prince and Me, Good Kill), Julie Yorn (We Bought a Zoo, Unstoppable), Patrick Walmsley and Thor Bradwell. JT Leroy is expected to premiere later this year.
Kvasnosky has previously scored Kelly’s features I Am Michael and King Cobra, as well as the upcoming drama Welcome the Stranger starring Abbey Lee, Caleb Landry Jones and Riley Keough. The movie, which follows a woman who arrives unannounced at the house of her estranged brother, is expected to be released in 2018.
