Brian McOmber is composing the music for the upcoming indie thriller The Strange Ones. The film is directed by Lauren Wolkstein & Christopher Radcliff and stars Alex Pettyfer, James Freedson-Jackson, Emily Althaus and Gene Jones. The movie follows two brothers who are making their way across a remote American landscape. Radcliff also wrote the screenplay. Sebastien Aubert, Michael Prall, Eric Schultz (James White), Shani Geva and Daniela Taplin Lundberg (The Kids Are All Right, Hello, My Name Is Doris, Beasts of No Nation) are producing the project. The Strange Ones will premiere in March at the SXSW Film Festival.
McOmber (Krisha, Ugly, A Teacher) also has the indie comedy Assholes coming up. The film is written and directed by Peter Vack and stars Betsey Brown, Jack Dunphy, Peter Vack, Patrick LaBella, Jane Brown, Ron Brown and Eileen Dietz. Vack is also producing the movie, which centers on two sober addicts who fall in love and relapse. The film will also premiere at SXSW next month.
