Justin Hurwitz has received his first BAFTA Award for his score for Damien Chazelle’s La La Land in the Original Music category today at the ceremony at the Orange British Academy Film Awards ceremony at the Royal Opera House in London. The composer accepted his award in person at the event. Check out his acceptance speech after the jump. He was nominated alongside Johann Johannsson (Arrival), Mica Levi (Jackie), Dustin O’Halloran & Hauschka (Lion) and Abel Korzeniowski (Nocturnal Animals). The composer previously received two Golden Globes for both his score and the song City of Stars from the movie and has received three Academy Award nominations for his work on the film.
