Premiering on Wednesday, November 2, is the new IFC original series Stan Against Evil created by Dana Gould and starring John C. McGinley, Janet Varney, Nate Mooney, Deborah Baker Jr. and Mick Ignis. The show’s original music is composed by Eban Schletter (SpongeBob Square Pants, Another Period). The horror comedy follows a former sheriff of a small New England town who teams up with his younger replacement to investigate a series of supernatural occurrences. Premiering on Friday, November 4, is the Netflix original series The Crown created by Peter Morgan and starring Claire Foy, Matt Smith, Vanessa Kirby and John Lithgow. Hans Zimmer (Inception, The Lion King, Gladiator, The Dark Knight) has composed the show’s main theme and Rupert Gregson-Williams (Hacksaw Ridge, The Legend of Tarzan, Hotel Rwanda) has composed the original score. Missing from last week’s TV music roundup was the new CBS drama Pure Genius created by Jason Katims & Sarah Watson and starring Dermot Mulroney, Augustus Prew, Odette Annable, Reshma Shetty, Aaron Jennings, Ward Horton and Brenda Song. The show’s original music is composed by Will Bates (The Path, I Origins, Chance, Imperium). Also missing from last week’s roundup was the new Netflix animated series Skylanders Academy developed by Eric Rogers based on the Skylanders video games and featuring the voice talent of Justin Long, Ashley Tisdale, Johnathan Banks, Bobcat Goldthwait, Catherine O’Hara, Norm Macdonald, Richard Horvitz, Ellis Greg, Harland Williams and Susan Sarandon.
