Intrada Records has announced a new soundtrack album for the 1984 sci-fi classic The Last Starfighter directed by Nick Castle and starring Lance Guest, Dan O’Herlihy, Robert Preston and Catherine Mary Stewart. The album features the complete score from the film composed and conducted by Craig Safan (Cheers, Stand and Deliver, A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master), including previously unreleased music. The label has also announced a new soundtrack album for the 1986 fantasy drama The Boy Who Could Fly directed by Nick Castle and starring Jay Underwood, Lucy Deakins, Bonnie Bedelia and Fred Gwynne. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Academy Award nominee Bruce Broughton (Silverado, Young Sherlock Holmes, Rescuers Down Under, Lost in Space), as well as Stephen Bishop’s Walkin’ On Air end credits song.
