Bennett Salvay is currently scoring the thriller Carjacked (aka Jacked). The film centers on a single mother who helps her son escape from a carjacking and must free herself when the villain drives her vehicle into a lake. Mario Bello and Stephen Dorff are starring in the thriller. Carjacked is directed by John Bonito who previously directed the John Cena-toplined action movie The Marine with music by Don Davis. Anchor Bay has picked up domestic rights for the film and a release date later this year is expected.
Salvay is also set to reunite with director Victor Salva on the upcoming thriller Rosewood Lane. Salvay and Salva have worked together several times, most notably on the Jeepers Creepers movies. Rosewood Lane stars Rose McGowan as a radio talk show psychiatrist who moves back to her childhood home where she discovers the local paperboy is a frightening and cunning young sociopath that targeted her father and now targets her. No release date has been set yet for the film.
The composer has also been scoring the critically acclaimed TV show Friday Night Lights with W.G. Snuffy Walden, which recently ended its series run and is now airing every Friday night on NBC. For more information on Salvay’s work, check out his new official webpage.
