Paul Englishby has been hired to score the second season of the BBC original series The Musketeers. The show is created by Andrew Hodges (My Week With Marilyn, Primeval) and stars Luke Pasqualino, Tom Burke, Santiago Cabrera, Howard Charles, Peter Capaldi, Maimie McCoy, Tamla Kari and Hugo Speer. The series is set on the streets of 17th century Paris and follows the adventures of Athos, Aramis and Porthos. Hodges is executive producing the project with Jessica Pope. Murray Gold (Doctor Who) has composed the music for the first season, which premiered earlier this year. Englishby’s previous scoring credits include the features An Education, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day and Sunshine on Leith and the TV series Luther. Englishby’s upcoming projects also include the drama Girls’ Night Out directed by Julian Jerrald and starring Sarah Gadon, Jack Raynor, Emily Watson and Rupert Everett. The movie follows two teenage Princesses who are allowed out from Buckingham Palace for one night to join in the huge celebrations where they encounter romance and adventure. The film is set to be released next summer in the UK.
