Antonio Pinto and Dudu Aram have been tapped to score the upcoming sci-fi thriller Selfless. The film is directed by Tarsem Singh and stars Ryan Reynolds, Ben Kingsley, Matthew Goode, Natalie Martinez, Victor Garber and Derek Luke. The movie stars a terminally ill billionaire who buys a chance for eternal life through an experimental underground medical procedure, which transfers his consciousness into the cadaver of a younger man. Alex and David Pastor (Carriers, The Last Days) have written the screenplay. Ram Bergman (Looper, Don Jon, Brick) is producing the project with Endgame Entertainment’s James D. Stern and Peter Schlessel. Pinto has previously scored Endgame’s 2005 feature Lord of War. Singh has previously collaborated with such composers as Howard Shore (The Cell), Alan Menken (Mirror Mirror) and Trevor Morris (Immortals). Selfless is set to be released on April 17, 2015 by Focus Features.
Pinto whose previous scoring credits include City of God, Senna, Snitch and The Host also has Stephen Daldry’s Trash and Disney’s sports drama McFarland USA coming up. Aram has previously co-scored the documentaries The Odyssey and Inside Out and has provided additional music for a number of Pinto’s scores.
