Heitor Pereira is composing the music for the upcoming crime thriller The Jesuit. The film is directed by Alfonso Pineda Ulloa and stars Jose Maria Yazpik, Tim Roth, Brian Cox, Tommy Flanagan, Neal McDonough, Shannyn Sossamon and Paz Vega. The movie follows an ex-convict who is forced to take matters into his own hands after his wife is killed and his son is kidnapped. Paul Schrader (Taxi Driver, Raging Bull, Affliction) has written the screenplay and also serves as an executive producer. Alex Garcia (Casa de mi Padre, Ceremony), Santiago Garcia Galvan (Under the Same Moon) and Jose Martinez Jr. are producing the BN Films production. The Jesuit is expected to be released in 2015.
Pereira’s most recent feature If I Stay starring Chloe Grace Moretz is currently playing in theaters nationwide. Also coming up for the composer of the Despicable Me movies is the animated spin-off Minions, which is set to be released on July 10, 2015 by Universal Pictures.
