Vetur Music will release a soundtrack album for the German thriller Prosecution (Staatsschutz). The album features the film’s original music written by Icelandic pianist/composer Gabríel Ólafs who has made his feature scoring debut on the project. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, August 27. Check back on this page for the streaaming/download link. Prosecution is directed by Faraz Shariat and stars Chen Emilie Yan, Julia Jentsch, Alev Irmak, Arnd Klawitter and Sebastian Urzendowsky. The movie follows a German/Korean state prosecutor who – after surviving a racist attack – takes her own case to court – confronting both the perpetrators and the justice system that turns a blind eye to right-wing extremism. The thriller premiered at this year’s Berlin Film Festival and will be released in German theaters tomorrow. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
