Anne Nikitin (The Dropout, American Animals, Hijack, Mrs. Wilson, I.S.S., Agatha Christie’s Seven Dials, One Day, Dangerous Liaisons, Fate: The Winx Saga, Lost Girls) has provided the original score for the upcoming comedy Northbound. The film is directed by William Scoular (Survival Box) and stars Bruce Dern, Dylan Baker, Graham Greene, Joanna Cassidy, Hunter Parrish and Julia Fox. The movie follows an elderly man frustrated with living out his final days in a nursing home who recruits his uptight grandson to break him out and – as they travel from Arizona to Canada – pick up an enigmatic stranger along the way. Ashlin Halfnight wrote the screenplay. Saad Siddiqui and Scoular are producing the project for Gatehouse Productions, alongside Robert Budreau (Born to Be Blue, Stockholm) for Lumanity, as well as Jason Ross Jallet (Die in a Gunfight, Bride Hard) and Andrew Bronfman (My Animal, The Burning Season) for Beyond the Frame. Northbound will premiere this week at the 2026 Edinburgh International Film Festival.
