Last month, Haim Mazar (Scary Movie, The Iceman, The Taking of Deborah Logan, Sneakerheads, Woke, Self Help, Desperation Road, I Am Wrath) has recorded his score for Walt Disney Animation Studios’ upcoming short Lilo & Scratch. The film is directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn (Wish) & Malcon Pierce and stars Chris Sanders who reprises his voice performance as Stitch from the 2001 animated feature Lilo & Stitch (scored by Alan Silvestri) and last year’s live-action adaptation (scored by Dan Romer). Maia Kealoha who played Lilo in last year’s film also lends her voice to the short, which follows Stitch as he is tasked with looking after Scratch, a cat Lilo has found. Nathan Curtis is producing the project. Mazar has previously collaborated with Malcolm on the Disney animated short Versa. Lilo & Scratch will be released in theaters nationwide on November 25, 2026 in front of the studio’s next feature, Hexed (likely to be scored by Kris Bowers, expected to be confirmed very soon).
