Marcin Macuk (Just One Look, The Breach, Spider’s Web, Tesciowie 2) & Zuzanna Wrońska have composed the original music for the upcoming sci-fi thriller Hot Spot. The film is directed by Agnieszka Smoczyńska (The Lure) and stars Andrzej Konopka, Noomi Rapace and Reika Kirishima. The movie is set in a near future society ruled by sentient A.I. and follows a private eye who investigates a murder case only to discover a rebel group capable of undermining the digital overlord. Robert Bolesto (The Last Family, Hardkor Disko) wrote the screenplay. Bogna Szewczyk-Skupień (Woman of..., Bamfir) and Klaudia Śmieja-Rostworowska (Lamb, The Fires) are producing the project for Madants, alongside Gregory Jankilevitsch (The Testament of Ann Lee, Orphan). Macuk & Wrońska have previously scored Smoczyńska’s last feature, The Silent Twins. Hot Spot will be released in U.S. theaters on August 21, 2026 by Focus Features.
