Isabella Summers (aka Isa Machine of Florence + the Machine) (Lisa Frankenstein, Little Fires Everywhere, KAOS, Dust Bunny, Lady Chatterley’s Lover, My Oxford Year, Physical, Call Jane, The Offer, Hitpig!) is the composer of the upcoming Apple TV original series Lucky. The show is created by Jonathan Tropper (Your Friends & Neighbors, Banshee) based on Marissa Stapley’s novel of the same title and stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Annette Bening, Timothy Olyphant, Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Clifton Collins Jr., Drew Starkey and William Fichtner. The 7-part crime thriller follows a con artist who is forced to go on the run when a multimillion-dollar heist goes sideways and – pursued by both the FBI and a ruthless crime boss – must fight for her life and a way out. Tropper & Taylor-Joy are also executive producing the Apple Studios and Hello Sunshine production with co-showrunner Cassie Pappas, Reese Witherspoon & Lauren Neustadter (The Morning Show, Where the Crawdads Sing), as well as Jonathan van Tulleken (The Changeling, Reprisal) who also directed the pilot episode. Lucky will premiere on July 15 exclusively on Apple TV.
Summers’ other recent projects include Ben Gregor’s The Magic Faraway Tree, which opened in UK theaters earlier this year and will be released in U.S. theaters on August 21 by Vertical, as well Pete Ohs’ Erupcja, which has been releeased in select U.S. theaters last month by 1-2 Special and is being released in UK theaters this coming weekend. She also has Megan Nicole Dong’s animated movie Bad Fairies coming up.
