Olivier Arson (The CandidateMadre, The Beasts, Piggy, Riot PoliceSee You in Another Life, The Zone) has released a soundtrack EP for the Spanish/French drama The Beloved (El ser querido). The 6-track EP features the composer’s music from the film and is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to Arson’s title track after the jump. The Beloved is co-written and directed by Rodrigo Sorogoyen and stars Javier Bardem, Victoria Luengo, Raúl Arévalo and Marina Foïs. The movie explores the relationship between an acclaimed film director and his daughter, a struggling actress who – after years of estrangement – collaborated on a movie and are forced to confront a troubled past neither of them has wanted to face.The drama is premiering today in competition at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival and is also being released in French theaters today before opening in Spain this August. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
