Leo Birenberg & Zach Robinson (Cobra Kai, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Twisted Metal, Obliterated, Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, Florida Man) are scoring the upcoming comedy sequel Super Troopers 3. The film is directed by Jay Chandrasekhar (The Dukes of Hazzard, Beerfest) who previously helmed the 2002 original movie and its 2018 sequel (scored by Eagles of Death Metal) and stars Chandrasekhar himself, Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, Brian Cox, Erik Stolhanske, Marisa Coughlan, Nat Faxon, Andrew Dismukes, Chace Crawford, Hannah Simone, Sakina Jaffrey, Iqbal Theba, Jon Rudnitsky and Lisa Gilroy. The movie follows the Super Troopers as they must navigate Thorny’s schemes to end Farva’s wildly over-the-top Indian engagement to his sister, while trying to crack a pernicious new drug ring. The Broken Lizard team also wrote the screenplay. Rich Perello (Club Dread, Freeloader) is producing the project. Super Troopers 3 will be released in theaters nationwide on August 7, 2026 by Searchlight Pictures.
The composers’ other upcoming feature projects include Eric Appel’s The Breadwinner, which will be released in theaters nationwide on May 29 by Sony Pictures. They also continue to score Marvel’s Disney+ animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, which will return for its second season this fall, and Peacock’s Twisted Metal, which has been renewed for a third season.
