Invada Records has released a soundtrack album for the historical drama Palestine 36. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ben Frost (Dark, 1899, Raised by Wolves, Sleeping Beauty, Super Dark Times, Fortitude). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s first track below. Palestine 36 is written and directed by Annemarie Jacir and stars Hiam Abbass, Saleh Bakri, Yasmine Al Massri, Kamel Al Basha, Liam Cunningham, Billy Howle and Jeremy Irons. The movie, which was selected as Palestine’s submission for the International Feature category at this year’s AcademyA wards, is set against the backdrop of 1936 Palestine when the territory was under British mandatory control and charts the lives and ambitions of those living under British rule . The drama premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival and has been released in select U.S. theaters over the last few weeks by Watermelon Pictures with more markets being added every weekend.
