Milan Records will release a soundtrack album for the British romantic period thriller Desperate Journey. The album features the film’s original music composed by Ilan Eshkeri (Stardust, Still Alice, Layer Cake, MobLand, Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story, House of Guinness, The Young Victoria, Kick-Ass). Also included are several jazz tracks by Csengery Dániel, as well as actress Clara Rugaard’s renditions of A Spell on You and Made This Way. The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 28 and will be available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to a track from Eshkeri’s score below. Desperate Journey is directed by Annabel Jankel and stars Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen, Rugaard, Til Schweiger, Steven Berkoff and Fernando Guallar. The movie written by Michael Radford & Alfred Christian tells the story of a young Jewish man who is forced to flee Vienna as the Nazis invade and finds unexpected refuge in a lavish burlesque club in 1940s Paris. The thriller is being released in UK theaters this weekend. No word yet on a domestic release.
