Lakeshore Records has released a soundtrack album for the documentary Orwell: 2 + 2 = 5. The album features the film’s original music composed by Alexei Aigui (The Truth, I Am Not Your Negro, The Young Karl Marx, Wild Field, Exterminate All the Brutes, Test). The soundtrack is now available to stream on most major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to the composer’s closing credits track below. Orwell: 2 + 2 = 5 is directed by Raoul Peck who interweaves clips, readings from author George Orwell’s diary, cinematic references, and modern-day footage to craft not only a portrait of the writer, but a fresh take on how prophetic his work has become. The movie premiered at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and was released in select U.S. theaters last month by Neon.
