Quartet Records has released a soundtrack album for the Kazakh/Spanish war drama The Truce (La tregua). The album features the film’s original music composed by Emmy Award winner Victor Reyes (The Night ManagerBuried, Perfect StrangersRed LightsGrand PianoRed QueenDown a Dark Hall). A CD version is available to order on the label’s official website. The Truce is co-written and directed by Miguel Ángel Vivas and stars Miguel Herrán, Arón Piper, José Pastor and Javier Pereira. The movie tells the story of two soldiers who fought on opposing sides during the Spanish Civil War and – years later – are forced to endure both suffering and hope together in a Soviet gulag during World War II. The drama premiered at this year’s San Sebastian Film Festival and just opened in Spanish theaters this past weekend. No word yet on a domestic release.
