David Buckley (The Sandman, The Good Wife, Papillon, Nobody, The Nice GuysThe Forbidden KingdomJason Bourne) is returning to score the upcoming post-apocalyptic survival thriller Greenland 2: Migration. The film is directed by Ric Roman Waugh (Snitch, Shot Caller) and stars Gerard Butler & Morena Baccarin who reprise their roles from the original movie, as well as Roman Griffin Davis, Sophie Thompson, Amber Rose Revah, Trond Fausa Aurvåg and William Abadie. The sequel takes place in the aftermath of a comet strike that decimated most of the earth and follows the Garrity family as they are forced to leave the safety of their bunker to traverse a shattered world in search of a new home. Mitchell LaFortune (Last Breath) and Chris Sparling (Down a Dark Hall, The Desperate Hour) wrote the screenplay. Butler & Waugh are also producing the Thunder Road Films, Anton, G-Base & CineMachine production with Basil Iwanyk & Erica Lee (John Wick series, Sicario), Alan Siegel (Den of Thieves, Law Abiding Citizen), Sébastien Raybaud (Cleaner, Canary Black), John Zois (The Night House, The Girlfriend) and Brendon Boyea (Voyagers, National Champions). Buckley has previously scored Waugh’s original 2020 movie and also collaborated with the director on the features Angel Has Fallen and Kandahar. Greenland 2: Migration will be released in theaters nationwide on January 9, 2026 by Lionsgate.

Buckley also continues to score Netflix’s The Lincoln Lawyer, which will return for a fourth season.
