Jon Natchez (The Climb, BOO!, Last Call, Luzzu, No Future, Pledge, Cubby) of the indie rock band The War on Drugs has recently scored the new sci-fi thriller War of the Worlds. The film is directed by Rich Lee and stars Ice Cube, Eva Longoria, Clark Gregg, Iman Benson, Sasha Lane, Michael O’Neill, Linus Sebastian, Devon Bostick, Henry Hunter Hall, Andrea Savage, Zach King, Olivia DeLaurentis and Sydney Heller. The movie is based on H.G. Wells’ classic novel and follows W a top cyber-security analyst for Homeland Security who spends his days tracking potential threats to national security through a mass surveillance program, until an attack by an unknown entity leads him to question whether the government is hiding something from the world. Kenneth Golde (Walking with the Enemy) and Marc Hyman (Show Dogs, The Perfect Score) wrote the screenplay. Timur Bekmambetov (Wanted, Nightwatch) and Patrick Aiello (The Double, Risen) are producing the project. War of the Worlds is premiering today exclusively on Prime Video.
