Plaza Mayor Company has released a soundtrack album for the crime drama Pooja, Sir. The album features the film’s original music composed by Vivek Maddala (Mid-CenturyThe Tom and Jerry ShowAsian AmericansTom and Jerry: Cowboy Up!, White Sun). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and any other major digital music services. Also listen to the composer’s final track below. Pooja, Sir is co-written and directed by Deepak Rauniyar and stars Asha Magrati, Nikita Chandak, Dayahang Rai, Bijay Baral, Reecha Sharma, Gaumaya Gurung, Ghanashyam Mishra and Aarti Mandal. The movie follows a detective from Kathmandu who is sent to Nepal when two boys are kidnapped in a border town, but, upon her arrival, the brewing political unrest and violent protests throw her off course. The drama, which premiered at last year’s Venice Film Festival, was released in Nepal this past March and will be opening in French theaters this Wednesday, July 23. No word yet on a domestic release date.
