MovieScore Media’s Reality Bytes has released a soundtrack album for the documentary Death & Taxes. The album features the film’s original music composed by Bobby Johnston (Edmond, Wristcutters: A Love Story, City of Gold, Stuck, Mother’s Day, She’s Just a Shadow, Marfa Girl)). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on all major digital music services, including Amazon. Also listen to the composer’s main title track below. Death & Taxes is directed by Justin Schein and centers on the filmmaker’s father, Harvey Schein, a renowned and successful record company CEO who became obsessed with how to pass on his wealth to his heirs while avoiding taxes. The movie, which is being described as a “case study in America’s long and problematic history of tax benefits for the wealth,” premiered at last year’s DOC NYC and will be released in select theaters on July 18.
