Hildur Guðnadóttir (Joker, Chernobyl, Women Talking, A Haunting in Venice, Tar, Sicario: Day of the Soldado) has taken over scoring duties on the upcoming The Bride. The film is written and directed by Maggie Gyllenhaal (The Lost Daughter) and stars Christian Bale, Jessie Buckley, Penélope Cruz, Peter Sarsgaard and Annette Bening. The movie follows a lonely Frankenstein who travels to 1930s Chicago to seek the aid of a Dr. Euphronius in creating a companion for himself and – together – reinvigorate a murdered young woman. Gyllenhaal is also producing the project with Emma Tillinger Koskoff (The Irishman, Daddio) and Talia Kleinhendler & Osnat Handelsman-Keren (The Kindergarten Teacher, My Happy Ending). Jonny Greenwood was originally scoring the movie. The Bride is set to be released in theaters nationwide on March 6, 2026 by Warner Bros. Pictures.
