Valentin Hadjadj (Close, Girl, A Bigger World, April and the Extraordinary World, Families Like Ours, Under the Stars of Paris, Rialto) has been hired to score the upcoming Canadian/French drama Paradise. The film marks the feature directorial debut of Jérémy Comte (who previously helmed the Academy Award-nominated 2018 short Fauve) and stars Joey Boivin-Desmeules and Daniel Atsu Hukporti. The movie revolves around two young men on different sides of the globe – one in Canada and the other in Africa – who connect through their search for the truth about their absent fathers. Tim Ringuette (Irena’s Vow) is producing the project for Entract Studios, alongside Anne-Marie Gelinas (Turbo Kid, Beans) for EMAfilms and Westerhoff (The Lesson) for Constellation Productions. Paradise is expected to premiere later this year. (Deadline)
