Netflix Music has released a soundtrack album for the streamer’s original film The Six Triple Eight. The album features the movie’s original score composed by Aaron Zigman (The Notebook, The Proposal, Bridge to Terabithia,Sex and the City, John Q, Wakefield, Escape from Planet Earth, The Ugly Truth). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download on Amazon and most other major digital music services. The Six Triple Eight is written and directed by Perry and stars Kerry Washington, Ebony Obsidian, Milauna Jackson, Kylie Jefferson, Shanice Shantay, Sarah Jeffery, Gregg Sulkin,Pepi Sonuga, Scott Daniel Johnson, Dean Norris, Susan Sarandon, Sam Waterston and Oprah Winfrey. The historical drama is inspired by the first and only Women’s Army Corps unit of color to serve overseas in World War II and tells the story of an army captain who leads her historic battalion as they face a mission unlike any other: to restore hope to WWII’s frontlines by delivering over 17 million backlogged letters. The film is opening in select theaters today and will premiere on December 20 on Netflix.
