B Original has released a soundtrack album for the French musical comedy drama Queens of Drama (Les reines du drame). The album features the film’s original score composed by Pierre Desprats (Olga, Rouge, She Is Conann, The Wild Boys, The Cow Who Sang a Song Into the Future, Perfect Nanny), as well as the movie’s songs written by Rebeka Warrior, Mona Soyoc, Desprats himself & others. Queens of Drama is co-written and directed by Alexis Langlois and stars Louiza Aura, Gio Ventura, Alma Jodorowsky, Bilal Hassani, Asia Argento, Nana Benamer, Thomas Poitevin, Dustin Muchuvitz and Raya Martigny. The movie centers on the romance between a pop diva singer and a lesbian punk icon and charts their rise and fall, told through the eyes of an obsessive pop culture stan. The film, which premiered at this year’s Cannes Critics’ Week, just opened in French theaters last Wednesday and has been picked up by Altered Innocence for a domestic theatrical release in 2025.
