Sony Classical will release the official soundtrack album for the family adventure Paddington in Peru. The album features the film’s original score composed by Academy Award winner Dario Marianelli (Atonement, Pride and Prejudice, Kubo and the Two Strings, Anna Karenina, V for Vendetta, Darkest Hour, Bumblebee) who previously scored 2017’s Paddington 2. Also included is the song Let’s Prepare for Paddington performed by Olivia Colman (who stars as The Reverend Mother). The soundtrack will be released digitally tomorrow, November 8. Paddington in Peru is directed by Dougal Wilson and also stars Hugh Bonneville, Emily Mortimer, Antonio Banderas, Samuel Joslin, Julie Walters, Carla Tous, Madeleine Harris & Jim Broadbent, as well as Ben Whishaw and Imelda Staunton as the voices of Paddington and Aunt Lucy. The movie follows the title character as he discovers his beloved aunt has gone missing from the Home for Retired Bears and – together with the Brown family – heads to the wilds of Peru to embark on a quest through the rainforests of the Amazon to find her. The sequel is opening in UK theaters this weekend and is set to be released in U.S. theaters on January 17, 2025 by Sony Pictures.
