Also opening wide is the thriller Conclave directed by Edward Berger and starring Ralph Fiennes, Stanley Tucci, Sergio Castellitto, John Lithgow and Isabella Rossellini. Opening semi-wide in around 650 theaters is the horror comedy Your Monster written and directed by Caroline Lindy and starring Melissa Barrera, Tommy Dewey, Meghann Fahy, Edmund Donovan and Kayla Foster. The film’s original score is composed by Timothy Williams (PearlBrightburn, Finding You, Agent Elvis, BagmanWalking with the EnemyWild Horses). MovieScore Media has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score, as well as two original songs written by The Lazours and performed by cast members today. Opening in select U.S. theaters is the Australian animated feature Memoir of a Snail written and directed by Adam Elliot and starring Sarah Snook, Eric Bana, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Jacki Weaver. Elena Kats-Chernin has composed the film’s original music. ABC Classics has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score (performed by the Australian Chamber Orchestra) earlier this month. Also opening in select theaters is the noir thriller Magpie directed by Sam Yates and starring Daisy Ridley, Shazad Latif, Hiba Ahmed, Matilda Lutz, Cherrelle Skeete, Pippa Bennett-Warner and Alistair Petrie. The film’s original music is composed by Isobel Waller-Bridge (FleabagEmmaVita & Virginia, The Phantom of the Open, Sweetpea, Munich: The Edge of War, Three WomenRoar). Also opening in select theaters is the drama La Cocina written and directed by Alonso Ruizpalacios and starring Raúl Briones Carmona, Rooney Mara. Anna Diaz, Motell Foster and Oded Fehr. Tomás Barreiro (La MaquinaMuseo, Gueros, The Good Girls) has composed the film’s original music. No word yet on a soundtrack release. The movie, which follows an undocumented cook in a busy midtown Manhattan restaurant in a relationship with a server who is pregnant with his child and gets in trouble when it’s discovered that money has been stolen from the cash register, premiered at this year’s Berlin Film Festival and is being distributed in the U.S. by Willa.

Also opening in select U.S. theaters is the Hong Kong/Chinese action thriller High Forces directed by Oxide Pang and starring Andy Lau, Zifeng Zhang, Xiaodong Guo, Tamia Liu, Chuxiao Qu and Shuguang Gao. The film’s original music is composed by Anthony Chue (Bodies at Rest, G Storm, Reign of Assassins, Invisible Target, FlashoverDivergence). Plaza Mayor Company has released a soundtrack album featuring the composer’s score this month. Opening in select theaters this weekend before premiering on October 30 on Netflix is the documentary Martha directed by R.J. Cutler about original influencer and America’s first self-made female billionaire Martha Stewart.
