Timothy Williams (PearlBrightburnAgent ElvisWalking with the EnemyFinding YouWild Horses) has recently recorded his score for the upcoming biblical thriller Mary. The film is directed by D.J. Caruso (Eagle Eye, Disturbia) and stars Anthony Hopkins as King Herod and Noa Cohen in the title role of Mary, as well as Ido Tako, Mila Harris and Stephanie Nur. The movie tells the coming-of-age story of the title character who is shunned following the otherworldly conception of her child and forced into hiding as King Herod’s relentless drive to maintain power at any cost ignites the pursuit of the newborn child that he believes is a threat to his reign on the throne. Timothy Michael Hayes wrote the screenplay. Mary Aloe (Mara, Killerman), and Hannah Leader (Freud’s Last Session, My Happy Ending) are producing the project for Aloe Entertainment, alongside Gillian Hormel (Bruised, Karen) for Ludascripts and Joshua Harris (57 Seconds) for PeachTree Media Partners. Mary is expected to premiere in 2025 on Netflix.

Williams’ other recent projects include Colm McCarthy’s supernatural horror thriller Bagman, which will be released in select theaters this Friday, September 27 by Lionsgate, as well as Caroline Lindy’s horror comedy Your Monster, which premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be released in theaters on October 25 by Vertical (check out the trailer below).
