Daniel Pemberton (Spider-Man: Into/Across the Spider-Verse, Steve Jobs, Enola Holmes, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., Birds of Prey) is returning to score the upcoming (currently untitled) sequel to the Black Mirror episode USS Callister. Netflix announced today that returning cast members include Cristin Milioti (as Nanette Cole), Milanka Brooks (as Elena Tulaska), Billy Magnussen (as Valdack), Osy Ikhile (as Nate Packer), Paul G. Raymond (as Kabir Dudani) and Jimmi Simpson (as James Walton). Pemberton is also scoring another (to be announced) episode of the next Black Mirror season. The composer received his first Emmy Award nomination for his score for the original Season 4 episode in 2018. Season 7 of Black Mirror created by Charlie Brooker and executive produced by Brooker, Jessica Rhoades & Annabel Jones will premiere in 2025 on Netflix.
Pemberton’s other upcoming projects include the National Geographic documentary Endurance (to premiere next month at the BFI London Film Festival), DreamWorks Animation’s The Bad Guys 2 (to open in theaters on August 1, 2025) and Sony Pictures Animation’s Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
