Oli Julian (Sex Education, Breeders, Catastrophe, The Full Monty, How to Build a Girl) & Nick Foster (Thunderbirds Are Go, Greatest Days, Misha and the Wolves, In My Skin) have teamed up to score the upcoming Apple TV+ original series The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin. The show is created by Claire Downes, Ian Jarvis & Stuart Lane and stars Noel Fielding, Ellie White, Marc Wootton, Hugh Bonneville, Duayne Boachie, Tamsin Greig, Dolly Wells, Asim Chaudhry, Joe Wilkinson, Mark Heap, Michael Fielding, Geoff McGivern, Samuel Leakey and Kiri Flaherty. The 6-part comedy follows the titular legendary British highwayman as he sets out on a journey of wildly absurd escapades when he’s made the reluctant leader of a band of outlaws and is tasked with outwitting a corrupt lawman and self-appointed thief-taker. Fielding is also executive producing the Apple TV and Big Talk Studios production with Kenton Allen (The Outlaws, Cold Feet), Victoria Grew (Back, Timewasters), as well as Ben Palmer (The Inbetweeners Movie, Man Up) who directed the first three episodes. The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin will premiere on March 7, 2024 exclusively on Apple TV+.
As previously reported, Julian & Foster also have the British Disney+ series Renegade Nell coming up.
