David Sardy (Zombieland, 21, Premium Rush, Bright, Monster Trucks, Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance) has teamed up with Jared Michael Fry to score the upcoming action thriller The Beekeeper. The film is directed by David Ayer (Training Day, Fury, Suicide Squad) and stars Jason Statham, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Josh Hutcherson, Minnie Driver, Bobby Naderi, Phylicia Rashad and Jeremy Irons. The movie follows a man whose brutal campaign for vengeance takes on national stakes after he is revealed to be a former operative of a powerful organization known as “Beekeepers.” Kurt Wimmer (The Thomas Crown Affair, Law Abiding Citizen) wrote the screenplay and is also producing the project with Ayer, Statham, Bill Block (Halloween, Bad Moms, Wrath of Man) and Chris Long (The Tax Collector, Mr. Mercedes). Sardy has previously collaborated with Ayer on 2012’s End of Watch. The Beekeeper will be released in theaters nationwide on January 12, 2024 by Amazon MGM Studios.
Sardy’s other recent projects include AMC’s The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, which currently airs Sunday nights on AMC (and is also available to stream on AMC+) and has already been renewed for a second season. Fry has recently scored Paul Street’s thriller Safehouse, which just premiered last week on TUBI.
