22D Music has released a soundtrack album for the French thriller Magnificat. The album features the film’s original score composed by Nathaniel Méchaly (Taken, Colombiana, The Grandmaster, Taxi Brooklyn, Shut In, Transporter: The Series). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio samples. Magnificat is co-written and directed by Virginie Sauveur and stars Karin Viard, François Berleand, Maxime Bergeron and Anaïde Rozam. The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Anne-Isabelle Lacassange about the head of the Paris Diocese of the catholic church who is called to a priest’s deathbed and finds out the the priest was a woman. The thriller opened in French theaters last week. No word yet on a domestic distribution deal.
