Chris Roe (The Salt PathBlue JeanNine Bodies in a Mexican Morgue,  After LoveTrigger PointLancaster, Wolf) has provided the original score for the new ITV drama The Lady. The show is written by Debbie O’Malley (All Creatures Great & Small) and stars Mia McKenna-Bruce, Natalie Dormer, Ed Speleers, Philip Glenister, Claire Skinner, Ophelia Lovibond, Laura Aikman, Mark Stanley, Daniel Ryan and Sean Teale. The 4-parter directed by Lee Haven Jones (The Feast, Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story) charts the rise and fall of former royal dresser Jane Andrews, whose rags to riches fairy tale fell apart when she was convicted of murder. O’Malley is also executive producing the Left Bank Pictures production with Sian McWilliams (The City Is Ours, Without Sin), Andy Harries (The Crown, Outlander), Rebecca Hodgson (Sherwood, Deep Water), Robert Schildhouse & Jess O’Riordan (Riot Women, Lynley), Stephen Nye (Time, Murder Is Easy) and Polly Hill (Joan, Playing Nice). Roe has previously collaborated with O’Malley on 2023’s Payback. The Lady is premiering in the UK today on ITV and will make its U.S. debut on March 18 on BritBox.

Roe’s other recent projects include Jonatan Etzler’s Bad Apples, which premiered at last year’s Toronto International Film Festival and is currently awaiting a release date.
