Composer Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front, Conclave, Lion, Adrift, Dune: Prophecy, The Amateur, The Day of the Jackal, A House of Dynamite, One Life) is reuniting with director Anthony Maras on the upcoming historical drama Pressure. The film is co-written (with David Haig) and directed by Maras and stars Andrew Scott, Brendan Fraser, Kerry Condon, Chris Messina and Damian Lewis. The movie based on Haig’s play of the same titl is set during the tense 72 hours before D-Day as General Dwight D. Eisenhower and Captain James Stagg confront an impossible choice: launch the largest and most dangerous invasion in history or risk losing the war altogether. Tim Bevan & Eric Fellner (Atonement, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) and Lucas Webb are producing the project for Working Title Films. Bertelmann has previously collaborated with Maras on the 2018 feature Hotel Mumbai. Pressure will be released in theaters on May 29, 2026 by Focus Features.
