22D Music has released a soundtrack album for the drama The Mysterious Gaze of the Flamingo (La misteriosa mirada del flamenco). The album features the film’s original music composed by Florencia di Concilio (The Five Devils, Calamity, Madame de Sévigné, The Victoria System, The Super 8 Years, Maestro(s), Dark Blood). The soundtrack is now available to stream/download here, where you can also check out the track list. Also listen to the composer’s final track after the jump. The Mysterious Gaze of the Flamingo is written and directed by Diego Céspedes and stars Tamara Cortés, Matías Catalán and Paula Dinamarca. The movie, which has been selected as the Chilean entry in the International Feature category for this year’s Academy Awards, is set in a dusty Chilean mining town in 1982 and follows a 11-year-old girl raised by a fierce queer community as she faces fear, violence, and love’s transformative power. The drama, which premiered in the Un Certain Regard section at last year’s Cannes Film Festival, was released in select U.S theaters in December by Altered Innocence and is opening in French theaters today. The movie is now also available on VOD and will be coming out on Blu-ray and DVD on April 7.
