Marius de Vries (Coda, Strange Magic, Kick-Ass, Sucker Punch, Easy Virtue, The End) & Matt Robertson (Bad Genius) have composed the original music for the upcoming documentary The AI Doc: Or How I Became an Apocaloptimist. The film is directed by Charlie Tyrell & Daniel Roher (Tuner, Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and the Band) and centers on a father-to-be who tries to figure out what is happening with the AI insanity, exploring the existential dangers and stunning promise of this technology that humanity has created. Daniel Kwan (Everything Everywhere All at Once, Swiss Army Man), Jonathan Wang (The Legend of Ochi, False Positive), Shane Boris (Fire of Love, Hollywoodgate), Diane Becker (Stutz, Tina) and Ted Tremper (Shrink). De Vries & Robertson have previously co-scored Roher’s Academy Award-winning documentary Navalny (with Anna Drubich).The AI Doc: Or How I Became an Apocaloptimist is premiering today at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival and will be released in theaters on March 27 by Focus Features.
