Dan Deacon (Task, Venom: The Last Dance, Ascension, The Changeling, Hustle, Rez Ball, Twixt, Strawberry Mansion, All Light, Everywhere, Wedding Season) has composed the original score for the upcoming documentary Time and Water. The film is directed by Sara Dosa (Fire of Love, The Seer and the Unseen) and centers on Icelandic writer Andri Snær Magnason who is facing the death of his country’s glaciers and the loss of his beloved grandparents as he turns his archives into a time capsule to hold what is slipping away – family, time, memory, and water. Dosa is also producing the Sandbox Films & National Geographic Films production with Shane Boris (Navalny, The Egde of Democracy), Elijah Stevens and Jameka Autry (Through the Night, Charm Circle). Time and Water is premiering this week at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival.
Deacon’s other recent feature projects include Tony Benna’s André is an Idiot, which premiered at last year’s Sundance Film Festival and will be released in select U.S. theaters on March 6 by Joint Venture. He is also expected to return to score the second season of HBO’s Task.
