Neil Athale (Wasteland, Strange But True, Twist, Golden Years, In a Day, Gloves Off) will release a soundtrack album for the British biographical drama Giant. The album features the composer’s original music from the film and will be released digitally this Friday, January 9. Visit Amazon to pre-order the soundtrack. Giant is written and directed by Rowan Athale and stars Amir El-Masry, Pierce Brosnan, Katherine Dow Blyton, Austin Haynes and Arian Nik. The movie tells the true story of world champion boxer Prince Naseem ‘Naz’ Hamed, from his humble beginnings in 1980s and 90s Sheffield, where he was exposed to Islamophobia and racism, and his relationship with his trainer Brendan Ingle. The drama, which premiered at last year’s BFI London Film Festival, will be released in UK theaters on January 9 by True Brit Entertainment and has been picked up by Vertical for a domestic release later this year.
