Bargatze also co-wrote the screenplay with Dan Lagana (American Vandal, Universal Basic Guys). They are both also producing the project with Jeremy Latcham (Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Bad Times at the El Royale). Birenberg & Robinson have previously collaborated with Appel on the feature Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, for which they received their first Emmy Award, and the TV series Die Hart and Birenberg also scored the Appel-produced Fox comedy Son of Zorn. The Breadwinner will be released in theaters nationwide on March 13, 2026 by Sony Pictures.
Birenberg & Robinson also continue to score the Disney+ animated series Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, which will return for a second season.
