Mac Quayle (Mr. Robot, American Horror Story, Leave the World Behind, Feud: Bette and Joan, American Crime Story, Gaslit, Monster: The Ed Gein Story) has composed the original score for the new Netflix limited series His & Hers. The show is developed by William Oldroyd (Lady Macbeth, Eileen) based on Alice Feeney’s 2020 novel of the same name and stars Tessa Thompson, Jon Bernthal, Pablo Schreiber, Marin Ireland, Rebecca Rittenhouse, Sunita Mani and Crystal Fox. The 6-part thriller follows two estranged spouses — one a detective, the other a news reporter — as they vie to solve a murder in which each believes the other is a prime suspect. Oldroyd also serves as the project’s co-showrunner, alongside Dee Johnson (ER, Nashville). They are both also executive producing the Fifth Season production with Bill Dubuque (Ozark, The Accountant), Kristen Campo (See, Truth Be Told) for Campout Productions. Jessica Chastain & Kelly Carmichael (The Eyes of Tammy Faye, Georgia & Tammmy) for Freckle Films, as well as Thompson & Kishori Rajan (American Fable, The Price) for Viva Maude. His & Hers will premiere this Thursday, January 8, exclusively on Netflix.
Quayle’s other upcoming projects include FX’s <em>The Beauty (to premiere on January 21, check out the just released official trailer below). He also continues to co-score ABC’s 9-11 and 9-1-1: Nashville.
