La-La Land Records has announced the world premiere “commercial” CD release of the soundtrack for the 1996 crime thriller Bound written and directed by the Wachowski siblings and starring Jennifer Tilly, Gina Gershon, John Ryan and Joe Pantoliano. The album features the film’s original music composed and conducted by Don Davis (The Matrix, Jurassic Park III, The Matrix Reloaded, The Matrix Revolutions, Valentine, Behind Enemy Lines). Also included as a bonus track is a recording of the composer’s concert piece Illicit Felicity inspired by the film score, performed by pianist Jenny Lin (previously released as a digital single). The 30th Anniversary Edition is limited to 1,000 copies and is now available to order on the label’s official website, where you can also check out the track list and listen to audio clips. Davis’ score has previously been released as a promotional CD in 1996 by Super Tracks and as a digital version last year by Supertrain Records. Bound is now available on VOD & DVD and Blu-ray & 4K Ultra HD (as part of the Criterion Collection).
